Surf and Turf California Burrito Bowl by Chefboyarben

Seared steak and succulent shrimp served over seasoned rice with creamy avocado and fresh salsa.

Ingredients
- 150g (5 oz) sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 100g (3.5 oz) shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup cooked white rice
- 1/2 cup black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1/2 avocado, sliced
- 1/4 cup pico de gallo or salsa
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp taco seasoning
Instructions
- Season the steak pieces with half of the taco seasoning until ready to serve.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Sear the steak for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked to your preference; remove from pan and set aside.
- Add the shrimp to the same skillet, sprinkle with remaining seasoning, and cook for 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque.
- Assemble the bowl by placing the cooked rice at the bottom until ready to serve.
- Top with the black beans, seared steak, cooked shrimp, sliced avocado, and a generous spoonful of salsa until ready to serve.
