Rich brown butter cookie dough with a flaxseed egg and generous amounts of mini chocolate chips.

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp brown sugar, packed
- 1 tbsp granulated white sugar
- 1 tsp flaxseed meal
- 1 tsp water
- 1 tbsp milk
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Heat the flour in a microwave-safe bowl for 60-90 seconds to heat-treat it, then set aside to cool.
- Place butter in a small pan over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until it turns golden brown and smells nutty, about 3-4 minutes.
- Whisk the flaxseed meal and water together in a small bowl and let sit for 2 minutes to thicken into a vegan egg.
- Combine the browned butter, brown sugar, and white sugar in a bowl, mixing until smooth.
- Stir in the flaxseed mixture, milk, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
- Fold in the heat-treated flour and mini chocolate chips until a dough forms.
