Ingredients
- 225g (0.5 lb) italian sausage
- 225g (0.5 lb) ground beef
- 450g (1 lb) spaghetti pasta
- 795g (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 4 cup (950 ml) chicken broth
- 1 medium onion, minced
- 1 medium bell pepper, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp chicken bouillon
- 1 tbsp italian seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic and herb seasoning
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Brown the Italian sausage and ground beef in a large pot or deep skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it into small pieces with a spoon, then drain excess grease.
- Add minced onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the pot, cooking for 2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, garlic and herb seasoning, and red pepper flakes until well combined.
- Add the dry spaghetti, chicken broth, chicken bouillon, and sugar to the pot, ensuring the pasta is submerged in the liquid.
- Cover with a lid and bring to a light boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent the pasta from sticking to the bottom.
- Remove from heat and garnish with grated parmesan cheese and fresh parsley before serving.
