- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp salt (for topping)
Instructions
- Whisk together eggs, 1/2 cup heavy cream, 1/2 cup milk, 1 tbsp vanilla, and a pinch of salt in a shallow bowl until combined.
- In a separate chilled bowl, combine mascarpone, 1 cup heavy cream, 2 tsp vanilla, 1/4 cup maple syrup, and a pinch of salt.
- Whip the mascarpone mixture using a hand mixer or whisk for 2-3 minutes until thickened and holding soft peaks.
- Dip bread slices into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are well coated.
- Heat a lightly buttered skillet over medium heat and cook bread slices for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve immediately topped with a generous dollop of the maple mascarpone cream.
