Crispy brick pastry filled with peanut butter and caramel, then folded and fried.

Ingredients

  • 4 brick pastry sheets
  • 4 tbsp peanut butter
  • 4 tbsp caramel sauce
  • 2 tbsp chocolate spread
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 egg, beaten, for sealing
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil, for frying
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar, optional for serving

Instructions

  1. Lay 1 brick pastry sheet flat on a clean surface and brush the edges lightly with melted butter.
  2. Spread 1 tablespoon peanut butter and 1 tablespoon caramel sauce in the center of each sheet, then add 1/2 tablespoon chocolate spread if using.
  3. Fold the pastry into a tight rectangle or triangle, pressing the edges to seal with beaten egg.
  4. Heat 2 tablespoons vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering, about 2 minutes.
  5. Fry the bricks for 2 to 3 minutes per side until deep golden and crisp.
  6. Drain on paper towels for 1 minute, then dust with powdered sugar if desired and serve warm.
