Ingredients
- 900g (2 lb) round steak or cube steak, cut into 4 portions
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper

- 2 large yellow onions, thinly sliced

Instructions
- Combine flour, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish; dredge steak pieces in the mixture until evenly coated.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear steaks for 3-4 minutes per side until deeply browned; remove from pan and set aside.
- Add butter and sliced onions to the same skillet, sautéing for 8-10 minutes until softened and golden brown.
- Stir in 2 tablespoons of the remaining flour mixture into the onions, cooking for 1-2 minutes to toast.
- Whisk in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce gradually, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Return steaks to the skillet, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 25-30 minutes until the meat is tender and the gravy has thickened.
