Golden pan-fried flatbread stuffed with a savory blend of seasoned ground meat and melted cheese.

Ingredients

  • 3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup yogurt
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 lb ground meat (beef or pork)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. Combine water, yogurt, oil, salt, sugar, flour, and baking powder in a bowl; mix until a shaggy dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough until smooth, then let it rest for 20 minutes.
  3. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and shape each into a ball.
  4. Roll each ball into a circle, place a portion of meat and cheese in the center, and seal the edges tightly.
  5. Flatten the filled dough balls into thin discs.
  6. Heat an oiled pan over medium-high heat and fry the naan for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
