Beef And Cheese Lasagna by Amorpoodie

Layers of tender pasta, savory ground beef, and melted mozzarella in a rich tomato sauce.

Ingredients
- 500g (1.1 lb) ground beef
- 1 onion, finely diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 800g (28 oz) marinara or tomato sauce
- 12 lasagna noodles
- 400g (14 oz) ricotta cheese
- 400g (14 oz) mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 50g (1/2 cup) parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking until soft and fragrant, about 4 minutes.
- Stir in the tomato sauce, oregano, salt, and pepper, then simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.
- Boil the lasagna noodles in salted water according to package directions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes, then drain.
- Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Layer the dish with noodles, a spread of ricotta cheese, a portion of the meat sauce, and a sprinkle of mozzarella.
- Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a generous layer of mozzarella and parmesan on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and golden.
