Rustic whole wheat dough, lightly sweetened with honey for a wholesome base for traditional toppings.

Ingredients
- 190g (1.5 cup) whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp sugar
- 0.5 tsp honey
- 180ml (0.75 cup) warm water
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 0.5 tsp active dry yeast (inferred)
- 0.25 tsp salt (inferred)
Instructions
- Whisk the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast in a large mixing bowl over medium heat until heated through, about 5 min.
- Add the warm water, honey, and olive oil to the dry ingredients until ready to serve.
- Knead the mixture by hand for 8-10 minutes until a smooth, elastic dough forms.
- Cover the bowl with a clean towel and let it rest in a warm, draft-free place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
