Miso Garlic Butter Cabbage with Butter Beans by Alfiecooks

Tender braised cabbage in a savory miso-garlic butter sauce, served with hearty, creamy butter beans.

Ingredients
- 1/2 head green cabbage, cut into thick wedges
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp white miso paste
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 400g (14 oz) canned butter beans, drained and rinsed
- 1/4 cup vegetable broth or water
- 1 tsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add cabbage wedges and sear for 3-4 minutes per side until charred and golden brown.
- Whisk together the miso paste, minced garlic, remaining butter, and broth in a small bowl.
- Pour the miso-butter mixture into the skillet around the cabbage wedges.
- Add the butter beans to the skillet, reduce heat to low, and cover.
- Simmer for 8-10 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender and the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Finish with a squeeze of lemon juice and serve immediately.
